My name is Melissa Battah and I am running as the Democratic candidate for the Washington-Orange State Representative seat because I want to give back to this community which has become home by bringing a fresh perspective and mother's insight to the issues which matter most in our community. I know my decades of experience in nonprofit management will help me make informed decisions about the future of our towns. My years of working as a community organizer will give me the experience needed to listen to the needs of our community before making decisions. I am running to create opportunities for our people, community and businesses to grow, live and thrive.

To ensure we continue to have neighborhoods which attract more families with young children like us to settle here as well as balance the concerns of our neighbors who have retired, we need representatives who listen well and have values which reflect the community who lives here...people in WAS-ORA district deserve a future that works for ALL Vermonters. And I am the best candidate to continue to lead us along this path into the future.
